Google webmaster central nicely sums up the relevency part for link building.

“Your site’s ranking in Google search results is partly based on analysis of those sites that link to you. The quantity, quality, and relevance of links count towards your rating. The sites that link to you can provide context about the subject matter of your site, and can indicate its quality and popularity. However, some webmasters engage in link exchange schemes and build partner pages exclusively for the sake of cross-linking, disregarding the quality of the links, the sources, and the long-term impact it will have on their sites. This is in violation of Google’s webmaster guidelines and can negatively impact your site’s ranking in search results.

It is not only the number of links you have pointing to your site that matters, but also the quality and relevance of those links.”

A landing page is just what it sounds -the page on which the website visitor lands or arrives after clicking on a link in SERP ( search engine results page ) . It could be home page, or any other page in the site.

The need for landing pages arises, as it’s not wise to cram 8-10 keywords in a single page. Google and other search engines rank a page on the basis of relevency. You can’t make a page relevent without mentioning these 8-10 keywords. If you were to do so, the readibility of the content will be compromised. How readible will the content be when you have to repeat each of those keywords few times on the page.

It would be difficult to maintain the readibility of the content if you were to take care of those 8-10 keywords. That’s where landing pages comes to the rescue.

A landing is a very focussed page highlighting your marketing message around 2-3 keywords.

Lets say your home page can be accesses at -

http://www.example.com/

http://example.com/

People will find the same information at above two url’s. They won’t know the difference, right ? But search engines will. Googlebot sees the above two URLs as two different pages on the web.

Search engines can index both www and non www versions of your domain . Therefore, it’s best for SEO purposes to stick with one version of your domain and make sure all backlinks point to that version. The www version is recommended because most sites will link to you using that version anyway.

Once you have decided your preferred version ( www or non www ), you should implement 301 permanent redirects at the server end to ensure your preferred version is served no matter which version is typed in. You can also set your preferred domain within Google Webmaster Tools.

As far as ranking is concerned, there is no such preference from any search engine. The search engines will rank whichever URL has the highest number of quality links pointing to it.

Following are some tips for creating a Google-friendly site…

1. Give visitors the information they’re looking for

Provide high-quality content on your pages, especially your homepage. This is the single most important thing to do. If your pages contain useful information, their content will attract many visitors and entice webmasters to link to your site. In creating a helpful, information-rich site, write pages that clearly and accurately describe your topic.

2. Make sure that other sites link to yours

Links help Google crawlers find your site and can give your site greater visibility in our search results. Keep in mind that Google algorithms can distinguish natural links from unnatural links. Natural links to your site develop as part of the dynamic nature of the web when other sites find your content valuable and think it would be helpful for their visitors. Unnatural links to your site are placed there specifically to make your site look more popular to search engines.

3. Make your site easily accessible

Build your site with a logical link structure. Every page should be reachable from at least one static text link.

Use a text browser, such as Lynx, to examine your site. Most spiders see your site much as Lynx would.

And SEO experts are the fully dedicated people involved in the handling of the SEO of any site.

With the booming website industry, demand for SEO experts too is on rise. Jobs in the industry are showing no sign of any fall in near future and is certain to rise. Being a relatively fresh field, the jobs are many and don’t seem to meet any dip in the near future. A bit of technical knowledge mixed with a texture of creativity is all that is needed for you to become an SEO expert. There is no need of any necessary qualification if you want to be hired as an SEO expert, either in India or abroad.

An SEO expert, in the beginning, informs the client about the current positioning of his or her site, after doing some sort of analysis. Then he suggests a few points that should either be added or removed so as to achieve a better position in the searches. The seo expert will also write articles and blogs so that the website gets the maximum number of backlinks as suggested by the search engines for a good rank. According to the search engines, your ranks has to improve with increasing number of backlinks. Thus the articles and blogs! The seo expert would also check out for whether the tricks used are according to the guidelines of search engines or not.

Though an SEO expert is not expected to have a compulsory degree with him, he must be with the ability to analyse and reason out the bad or good position of a site. Decision to use the right keywords at right places and the other right steps are all to be taken by him only. These are considered crucial with respect to optimization of the site.

As SEO is an ongoing process, the expert has to continue working for a site till it does not achieve to be one among the top rank. Most of the activities continue even after the site attains the top position in the search engine rankings, to avoid any slip from there.

The seo expert need to be updated of all best and the most current tricks and further go on to use them in the most unique way so as to help you reach the dream position – one of the top ranks!

If you have plunged into the deep ocean of SEO business, it must not have been for fun sake. Thousands of dollars can’t be spend just like that.

Actually, your instinct was right if it guided you to the online world as one of the best business place, or probably the best one. Why shouldn’t it be? Using this nascent technology tool along with your brain, you are creating an opportunity of earning millions. And that too, without much hassle.

Still, it’s not that easy! And most online businesses fail only for this reason that they consider it to be easier than what it truly is. While the total process of setting up the business is equally significant and demands the same effort of yours, enabling the your site to rank higher in searches for various keywords is the longest one.

Known as SEO, acronym for Search Engine Optimization, the process of enabling your site rank higher in the search engines has to go on continually till you want a fair income through your site. SEO is not a Luxury, but a necessity for every business

And as the SEO process is extensive, it is better that you outsource it to some SEO India company. Outsourcing has been preferable mode of curtailing your expenses and expanding your profits. The economist, Adam Smith, says in his treatise The Wealth of Nations, “If a foreign country can supply us with a commodity cheaper than we ourselves can make it, it is better to buy it of them.”

So, you must have got the benefit of outsourcing. And again, as India has the best quality professionals for SEO services, it can bring you to the highest rank when searched for the products or services you offer. You can’t get solutions as low priced as here in India, while also maintaining the quality. Experience matters for every job and especially when it comes to offering an excellent SEO service.

There is a great requirement of writing quality articles as many as one can for a good ranking. The more number of articles you write, better is the ranking that you get; qualities of all being good. They have to be submitted to directories like ezine, buzzle and many more which don’t accept anything less than writeup of high quality. Content writers can easily deal with this part of the process. You can just pick up anyone for these specific tasks mattering the most for your online business.

You could choose either an SEO India company or any other to get your business earn better profits. But what matters the most is that it is an ongoing process and should be done regularly. Else it won’t do much harm except the slip from a good position in search results and the day you slip to beyond third page position will be the final days. Costumers rarely look into those pages! And your business goes flop there!

Writing articles is an indispensable part of the process of promoting your site. These articles, in addition to providing back-links, gives another opportunity to visitor to find your site through the link provided in the resource box .

Any article that is published over the web always provides back-link. It is for sure that the link will give at least some boost to your site’s ranking. But the strength of that upthrust also depends upon the quality of that back-link – popularity of the site where the article is published. Again, quality articles enable better chances for the site to be visited directly through the link in that site. Writing such an appealing article has a bit of pain associated, but the fructification of that pain is worth.

A few tips are offered here to ensure that your article will be read and liked -

Use enticing title: Use enticing title that can tempt anyone to go through the thing at least once. This is very significant as without a good title no reader would click on yours. It is not that internet lacks materials on any topic. The web has been profusing with large volumes of contents on almost every matter and subject. So, it is very important that your article title be a catchy one.

Use short sentences: Long sentences confuse readers. Using too many conjunctions might make your article good for any English enthusiast. But they’ll never charm any layman who wants to read it quick. Short sentences can be easily understood by anybody and when a person will understand the matter, probability is high that the link your site will be visited.

Use short paragraphs: This again increases the understandability of your article. Long paragraphs seem very confusing at the first instant which bores the reader. This will put repelling effect on any visitor instantaneously. Where the question of reading the article completely and clicking on the link will come from?

Use numbers or bullets to the maximum: Such articles manifest clarity and readers like to read them for they seem pleasing to the visitors’ eyes. It is also easy to memorize when things are shown in points. Bullets make it easier for the reader to know as to where the point starts from and where does it end.

Start with something interesting: Use quotations, attractive statements or news to compel the reader read further. Interesting descriptions and metaphors are also good tools to catch the attention of reader. They can hold the reader’s attention. Further, examples enable the reader to understand the matter in a much better manner. They can be true guide for any reader pushing the probability of liking your article to a higher position.

Hold on till the end : Many writers tend to start great, continue well but towards the end they get dreary with the absence of thoughtful elements. They just end it anyway. That should not be! You have to leave a mark in minds of readers. Otherwise, what use is your article? Your ending should be filled with the same enthusiasm that was when the first sentence was written.

Hence, a great article is not the one which only starts great but, it is the one which starts great, goes greater in the middle and ends with the greatest impact upon the reader. Choose any one article directory for you, submit good articles regularly and enjoy the response through your site.
Bing is the new search engine lauched by Microsoft in June 2009.

The search engine published a document about link building which focuses on how Bing deals with inbound links, The document can help webmasters to get better links for Google, Yahoo and other search engines. The most important points of Bing’s document are -

The importance of link building

“Link building is a very important form of self-promotion on the Web. You contact webmasters of other, related websites and let them know your site exists. If the value that you have worked so hard to instill in your site is evident to them, they will assist their own customers by linking back to your site. That, my friend, is the essence of link building.”

In other words, reciprocal linking is fine. They also remind webmasters that link building is an ongoing process:

“Think of link building as your chance to build your reputation on the Web. As your website is likely one of your business’ most valuable assets, consider link building to be a primary business-building exercise. Just don’t make the mistake of believing it will result in instant gratification. Successful link building efforts require a long-term commitment, not an overnight or turnkey solution. You need to continually invest in link building efforts with creativity and time. Good things come to those who wait (and work smartly!).”

Warning -

The following things will get your website in trouble

Just like Google and other major search engines, Bing doesn’t like to be cheated. If they detect unnatural linking patterns, your website might be penalized. The following things can trigger search engine filters:

1. Your website get a lot of additional inbound links a very short time.

2. Many links that point to your website are from unrelated websites or blog comments.

3. Your web pages contain hidden links.

4. You get links from links farms or automated link exchange systems.

5. Paid links point to your website

Getting inbound links requires some work. The Bing engineers are very clear about this fact:

“Make no mistake: getting legitimate and highly valuable, inbound links is not a couch-potato task.”

How do you get more than three pages to return rankings. You need to get more than 3 pages to get indexed.

One way to accomplish this is create an XML sitemap of all your web pages and upload it to the Google Webmaster Tools area. Once you do this, you’ll be able to track how many pages Google is indexing, and any indexing issues.

There is another way, and that is to gain relevent links to your website. The more relevant links you have, the more pages of your site will be indexed

Matt Cutts said that the number of pages that Google indexes from your website is roughly proportional to the PageRank of your website. That means that more pages of your website will be indexed if your website has many inbound links.

Google does not have an indexation cap, i.e. they will index all pages of your website if you have enough inbound links. Another reason to build relevent links to your site
